Mercedes-Benz companions with Blade to serve the brand new airport

The air transportation service and luxury car company announced that Mercedes-Benz is the official luxury car partner of BLADE.


Through the partnership, Mercedes will make three Blade-branded Maybach vehicles available for guests to use between the Blade lounges to the commercial terminals at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The Maybachs themselves – including the ICE SUV, ICE Sedan and EQS SUV – will also be available at commercial airline arrivals to transport guests to the Blade lounge after landing.

“Providing luxury experiences is deeply rooted in the Mercedes-Benz DNA, and through this partnership with BLADE, our Maybach, and all high-end vehicles, will offer unique, seamless, best-in-class travel before and after flights,” Monique Harrison, CEO of Mercedes-Benz. Head of Brand Marketing at Mercedes-Benz US shared in a statement provided to Travel + entertainment. “With Blade, we are excited to bring more customers to elevated offerings with Mercedes-Benz vehicles and truly transform luxury travel in New York City.”



Here’s how it all works.


Passengers can reserve Blade seats via the company’s app Blade.com, or by calling Blade Flyer Relations at 1-844-359-2523. Guests can reserve a seat on the Blade helicopter to take them from the city to JFK Airport or Newark International Airport (EWR) in Newark, New Jersey, starting at $195. (Travelers can also charter the same ride for up to six people for $1,875.)


Guests can then book a domestic airport transfer, choose their desired time of arrival to the commercial terminal, and set up their Maybach experience from there – all included in the cost of the Bled trip.


Upon returning from the flight, guests will receive a text message from Blade alerting them to where the Maybach is parked in the arrivals hall. However, if you want more, you can always book their meet and greet upgrade and ask a representative to meet you inside the baggage claim and escort you to the car.


As the company notes, guests are invited to enjoy the private lounge at West 30th Street, East 34th Street and Newark Airport before or after a flight.
